I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. With a BA in English translation and an MA in Linguistics, I left Iran in 1999 for Edinburgh when I was 26. There I did another MA in Translation Studies, and a big wind brought me to the U.S. in 2000, where I studied Multimedia/Graphic Design. Presently, I live in Oakland, California.

I have worked as a community interpreter for the past 4 years in the Bay Area, California. I am a CA court registered interpreter and I have done many legal and health care assignments. I have 12 years of experience in the field of translation, my favorite activity.

Graphic Design is a rapidly changing field and I continue my education by taking classes and self-study. My goal is to grow in both fields.
